Normangee MS Family Newsletter
November 16, 2022
From Mr. Wingfield
This is going to be a busy week before a much needed break for Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for our kids and staff and feel blessed every day to come to a campus that places such a high value on education and growth to helps kids be their very best. For some of us, this break will be an opportunity to spend time with friends or family, but for others that are less fortunate it may not be a welcome break at all. Please keep those that are in need in your thoughts, especially as it continues to stay cold.
We will be having a Thanksgiving Feast on Thursday in our cafeteria if you would like to come have a meal with your student. Meals are $3.50 and you must check in up front. Please pre-register with our office if you plan on attending so we know how many meals to make.
We continue to place a priority on students safety. Last week we had a safety audit performed on our MS campus by the state of Texas. We passed with flying colors as we had no deficiencies and a perfect score. Our students and teachers are doing a great job of keeping classrooms secure and following all safety protocols. Great job team!!
We had a fantastic Veterans Day Ceremony last week. Congrats to all of our Patriot pen winners and thanks to everyone that helped make it a success.
Please check below for new information for REMIND for MS Teachers. Along with parent portal, REMIND can be used to get information on assignments in your students classes. I am receiving these from teachers little by little so all teachers may not be listed below.
If there is any other information you would like to receive through the MS Newsletter, please feel free to email me at jwingfield@normangeeisd.org
As always, if I can help in any way please let me know.

A Message from Officer Mordecai and Administration
From Mrs. Martin
The Capturing Kids Heart focus for November will be Teamwork
What is Teamwork?
Teamwork is the ability to work in unity with others towards a common goal. For us to learn how to become team players, it is important that we learn to listen, encourage our peers, and allow and invite others to contribute their talents and skills.
Why focus on Teamwork?
- Teamwork improves communication: Teamwork helps us improves our verbal and non-verbal communication skills, conveying that we care and a relevant message.
- Teamwork builds interpersonal awareness: Growing a great team requires us to first build strong relationships through better understanding ourselves and others.
- Teamwork celebrates diversity. Teamwork thrives from diverse ideas that come from a mixture of different genders, cultures, expertise, experience, and problem-solving approaches.
Our Student of the Month will be a student that represents the quality of Teamwork; someone that models gratefulness, acknowledges positive moments, and affirms the positive actions of other students and teachers.
From the Bus Barn
Please remind your students about continuing to show proper behavior on the buses. We want the bus ride home to reflect the same level of respect we expect in the school building. Disruptive behavior can distract our bus drivers and we want to make sure everyone behaves appropriately and everyone gets home safely.
Thanks for your support
