CJH Weekly Update
Staff - Week of May 25th
Updates
It's the unofficial start of summer! In many ways the social distancing and quarantine requirements are much easier to comply with when the weather is nice, at least for me. I am happy to play outside with the kids and go for a hike then to be cooped up in the house. You can only watch Tiger King so many times....
This is our last week of official remote learning! As we have discussed, the week of June 1st and June 8th - 10th will simply be time to continue to work with students to turn in that remaining work. Grades will be due at 3pm on June 10th with the intention of posting report cards by Friday.
Just a reminder that the Return to School Plan document is due by 6/5. The form is linked above and available in the JH drive. You may complete these electronically or paper/pencil. Feel free to e-mail them to me or drop the paper/pencil version in my mailbox. I will compile the documents for our building to share at the district level.
Wellness Committee
If you would like to be part of the conversation as we work out details of the fall plan, please send me a note and I will make sure that you are part of that committee. We want to be sure to include your voice with concerns and considerations as we develop this plan.
Reminder
If you have pictures of classroom activities that you would like to share with the community in the end of the year District Newsletter that is mailed home, be sure to share them with me.
Teaching and Learning
Last week of remote learning! We will not issue any further assignments after this week. The final 2 weeks of "school" will be spent helping students clean up their outstanding assignments from previous weeks. The goal is to help everyone earn a CR for the Marking Period.
Please plan on continuing office hours through the week of June 1st. I understand that there may not be as many students in need of office hours that week, but we want to make sure that we have time built in to provide the support that our students finishing up their work may need. If the office hours conflict with your classroom clean up time, you can be on while you are in your classroom.
