Course Registration

The registration for Fall 2021 is opening soon! Therefore, it is important to contact your advisor to set up an appointment for advising! Please do this as soon as possible as spots fill up fast and you want to make sure that you register for the right classes.

Every week there are several opportunities for you to participate as a Miner! The Office of Student Engagement & Leadership Center (SELC) provide different events that are available to you! Since we are not able to meet in person, they have created opportunities for you to participate and stay engaged as a Miner!

For instance, they have started Miners on Monitors: Quran-tivities where they hold events each week for you! In addition, there are different workshops where you can learn useful information for your future!

This is a great opportunity to be active at campus without being on campus! To stay updated with their events, follow their instagram @utepselc !

New Student Orientation

The ECHS New Student Orientation for traditional and accelerated students who plan to attend UTEP this Fall 2021 is on March 24-25th. By this time, students should have already completed the application process on ApplyTexas.

In this orientation, you will familiarize yourself with applications that you will use as a UTEP student and learn how to receive your Miner Gold Card. In addition, you will have a meeting with a designated advisor of your college to help you register for your first classes. You will also be learning a few facts about UTEP and it's history!

Please stay on the lookout for any information about ECHS NSO either from your High School Counselors or from the Early College Success Center!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us!

Job Mine

On your UTEP Dashboard, you have an application named Job Mine facilitated by the University Career Center! Once you login, you can upload information that will help the University Career Center find internships and job postings that are right for you! Moreover, you are allowed to look through all the opportunities presented to you!

On Job Mine, you are also able to find Events and Workshops that UTEP is hosting! These can be useful in learning about information pertaining to your future job or resources that will help you in how to get a job!

Student Spotlight Submissions

Attending UTEP while being in High School is a great accomplishment! Hence, we want to recognize your achievements as Early College Students! We also want to recognize the achievements of ECHS alumni who are currently UTEP students!

We have created a Google Form for you to submit the names of students who you think have gone above and beyond in their life! We will select the students and share their stories over social media and in the next month's newsletter!

We look forward to reading your submissions!
