The Heart

The heart has a very important job in the body that is the part that helps you live. The heart is located behind the rib cage on the left side. A fact is that the heart pumps blood 60-70 times a minute if you are a adult. Another fact is that a newborn baby has 1 cup of blood in its circulation.

How the blood goes threw the heart

The blood goes threw the superior vena cava into the right atrium then goes threw the right ventricle. Then it goes threw the pulmonary artery into the pulmonary vein into the left atrium into the left ventricle. Then it goes into the aorta and all over again. That is a lot of steps.
