The window to apply for tuition assistance for Highland Catholic School is open.

If your family relies on any type of financial aid to support tuition at Highland Catholic School, please complete the online application through TADS.

All students receiving tuition support must be part of the TADS process. Applications are due by April 10, 2016.

Policy Managing Peanut/Food Allergies in School

The School Ministry Council just approved the following new policy.

At Highland Catholic School we are “peanut aware”, not peanut free.

Guidelines include:

• Students are discouraged from sharing their food or beverages with others during meal

or snack times, given concerns about allergies and other restrictions on some children’s


• Highland Catholic School will provide annual training to school staff about allergies,

anaphylaxis reactions, and EpiPen® administration.

• The St. Paul Public school nurse assigned to Highland Catholic School will work with

parents/guardians and student’s health care provider to develop a plan to accommodate

the student’s needs.

• The St. Paul Public school nurse and parents/guardians will teach the student to whom

to go in case of an allergic reaction.

• Parents/guardians will provide properly labeled medications to the Health Office and

replace medications when expired.

• Parents/guardians will teach their children about their specific food allergies and their

Individual Health Plan.

• Parents/guardians will determine and/or provide “safe” food for the child to eat.

Teachers, school staff or other parents/guardians are not responsible to determine if a “food is

safe” such as label reading for ingredients.

• Highland Catholic School will provide peanut-free/gluten free treats option at

school events; such as Marathon, Grandparent’s Day, Cupcake Truck, etc.

• Highland Catholic School will post a laminated list of students with food allergies in

the Health Office, School Office and Kitchen.

Highland Catholic Middle School Dance!

Don't miss our Middle School Dance for Grades 6-8 and neighboring Catholic Schools on Friday, April 22nd.

Great DJ, refreshments for sale and a chance to hang out with friends. $10 cost. Students must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian.
