Schedule (Adjusted Bell Schedules for the first week of Phase 1)
May 1st (Advisory & 2 Lunches)
May 2nd ( 2 Lunches)
May 3rd (2 Lunches)
May 4th (2 Lunches)
May 5th (Spartan Time)
It is with great excitement that we share the news that we are moving into Phase 1 on Monday, May 1st. This is no small undertaking, and it will be an adjustment for students and staff. Monday through Thursday next week will operate on a 2 lunch schedule, and will start our new Spartan Time schedule on Friday, May 5th. See schedules below. This will allow us to ensure a successful start for our child and nutrition staff to transition to a brand new kitchen and help our students navigate their new lunch space. In preparation for this big move, this last week, we met with all of our students for a presentation about the new building and then our staff led the students on a tour. It gave us great joy to see the students' excitement as they toured the new building. Please check out our important logistics for Spartan Families below.
This amazing new learning space would not have been possible without the support of our entire Sumner and Bonney Lake communities. Thank you to the voters who approved Phase 1 of the Sumner High School Modernization and Expansion project as part of our 2016 Capital Bond. Phase 1 is part of a master plan to replace the existing Sumner High School campus.
This 86,000-square-foot state-of-the-art building includes a new commons, library, kitchen/cafeteria, 18 classrooms and additional restrooms. The new building will house our science and social studies departments, with brand new science labs. Other features include updated security and technology, a mezzanine and outdoor courtyard, and a new Spart Mart student store.
Important Logistics for Spartan Families:
Original building is referred to as the main building and the new building is referred to as Phase 1.
All our offices will remain in the main building. Please make sure you enter through the main entrance when coming on campus.
If you have early release and/or late arrival, your student will still be checking in and out of the attendance office in the main building.

Suicide Prevention Resources
Experts agree that the best way to prevent suicide is to talk about it, but people are often afraid to bring it up. SBLSD has staff and resources available to help. Please reach out to your child’s school counselor.
