Annual Christmas Concert
The Hemlock Band Program cordially invites you to our annual Christmas Concert on Wednesday, December 19th beginning at 7:00 pm in the Hemlock High School gymnasium. There will be a reception following the concert in the High School student center. We are asking for each band member in grades 7 through 12 to bring a dozen cookies to share, and for 6th grade members to bring a case of water.
7th and 8th Grade band members should wear their band polo, khaki pants, and nice dress shoes. The 6th grade band should dress in nice dress clothes. The HS band will be in full concert black.
Call Times:
HS Band should report for a 6pm warm up and percussion should report at 5pm. MS Should report at 6:30pm and place belongings in designated area and then be seated in the bleachers. Remember, the concert is at the High School gymnasium.

Wolverine because it is the mascot for the best team in college.

Mr. Yell because he hooks me up with clothing deals and Mr. Chase because he helps me make great media videos.

Going to football and basketball games.

1. Do you have a special reason why you wear the number that you do?
Not really. I wanted 31 but when it wasn't a choice, I just grabbed one.
2. What are some of your other hobbies?
Volleyball, softball, making brackets, hanging out with friends and movie night.

My favorite teacher/staff member would be Mrs. Strachota. I really like both classes she teaches and she's very approachable. She always wants to help if I'm confused.

Mario Kart

My aunt's Christmas cookies

Veterinarian
12. Do you think playing sports at Hemlock made a difference in your life? Why?
Definitely, I've made a ton of friends. Playing sports here has helped me learn responsibility and to be a leader.
13. Is there a coach that really made an impact on your life? Why?
Mr. Neumeyer, he has helped me a lot in basketball. I've improved a lot under his coaching. He has helped boost my confidence in life/basketball.
14. What will you miss the most about Hemlock High School?
I will miss the environment. All the teachers are so nice and want their students to succeed.
Academic Athlete of the Week - Olivia Watson
1. Do you have a special reason why you wear the number that you do?
42 was always my favorite number. My Aunt Monica, and friend, Griffin both wore it. However, once I got to high school and larger numbers paired with larger sizes, the number no longer fit me. I had to switch to 24. I like 24 though, it suits me.
2. What are some of your other hobbies?
I have a lot of hobbies. I like to play soccer, read, paint, draw, play guitar, spend time with family and friends, and watch sports.
3. What is your favorite movie?
Lilo & Stitch, always has been & always will be.
4. If you could pick any place in the world to live, where would you choose?
Somewhere without long, cold winters! Maybe South America.
5. Favorite college/pro team?
Michigan State & GSW or the Rockets
6. Favorite teacher/staff member & why?
Mr. Chase - he understands me and truly cares about every single one of his students.
7. Favorite video game?
I do not play video games.
8. Favorite family recipe?
Chicken Chili!
9. Do you have any advice for future Hemlock High School student athletes?
If you want to be successful in school and sports, there are two major requirements - Time Management & Perseverance
10. What are your plans after high school?
As of right now, I plan on attending Saginaw Valley State University next fall.
11. What is your dream job?
New York Times best selling author
12. Do you think that academic success has helped in your athletics?
Yes! There have been many times when I'd go home and study for a game like I'd study for a test.
13. Is there a coach that really made an impact on your life? Why?
Coach Neumeyer - he has always believed in me.
14. What will you miss the most about Hemlock High School?
