Holly Academy News & Views
May 20, 2022
As you know, we have entered "round two" in our quest to secure the next Director of Holly Academy. Interviews took place on Wednesday evening and will also occur on Monday and Wednesday next week at 5:30pm and 7:00pm in the media center.
Please join the public interviews that will take place in the media center. Your feedback is welcome on the feedback forms available at each interview.
Also, there was a possibility that we would have to add a day to the school year due to not making our 75% attendance rate the day prior to Thanksgiving. The Board voted to not add a day to our year. There will be a monetary penalty for not making our student count. This is why attendance is so crucial, particularly on half days. Dare to be remarkable!
MSTEP Spring Testing concluded this week. NWEA is now completed for Y5’s, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade, unless students need to make up. NWEA continues for 3rd-8th grades. We are in the home stretch!!
Spring Concerts continue to be amazing! Thank you to our wonderful families for purchasing DVD’s and participating in the silent auction. Each dollar earned goes towards your student’s music needs so we can continue to enjoy these incredible events. Speaking of dollars earned, our auditorium is in need of new seats. As part of our efforts towards making your music events more comfortable, you have an opportunity to sponsor a seat in Holly Academy’s auditorium. Please be sure to check out the flyer below.
Mother nature was kind to us for our Outdoor Classroom Day. It was a day spent outside incorporating and relating classroom activities to real life. Both staff and students had a great time. Be sure to ask your child/ren what were some of the fun activities they participated in! ~Power of the Pack

Camp Invention
The National Inventors Hall of Fame created Camp Invention to inspire future creators and entrepreneurs in a semi-structured environment that provides open-ended STEM activities.
Holly Academy’s camp will happen from 8/8 - 8/12/22.
This year students will explore:
- Marble Arcade: Children zigzag through physics, engineering, and gaming as they build a mega marble arcade!
- Spin Into the ATTIC: Art and STEM combine in this immersive experience with their robotic artist!
- Robotic Aquatics: Children dive into ocean research and adopt their own aquatic animal!
- Spacecation: Inspired by real space exploration, campers create Spacepacks and Astro-Arm devices to help them with glow-in-the-dark lunar discoveries and erupting ice volcanoes!
