Grandparents Breakfast A Hit!

Grandparents Breakfast was such a hit this year. We close to 500 grandparents come out and enjoy breakfast with their grandchild. Thank you so much to our AWESOME PTO in sponsoring this as well as our cafeteria cooks and workers. They did a fantastic job in getting our kids and grandparents through the lines and enjoying a lovely breakfast and fantastic book fair. Check out some snapshots below!

( A Halloween Parade will be held at 1:45- Weather Permitting in the Courtyard)

Please Do Not wear costumes until parade.

** Halloween costumes should not have horror themes or be accessorized by guns, swords or knives.**

Halloween Parade is Friday, October 30th 1:45p.m.

Just like last year, weather permitting, a parade will be held in the courtyard beginning @ 1:45. The students and staff will join together to parade around the perimeter of the courtyard before returning to class to finish out the day. Since Saturday is Halloween, students may dress in an appropriate Halloween costume to be worn during the parade. After the parade students and staff will return to their classrooms to resume the rest of the afternoon.

In the event of inclement weather, regretfully, the parade will be cancelled due to the limited availability of adequate space to safely accommodate for this event inside. Thank you very much for your understanding.

Please note that teachers are working together to plan a variety of special activities, events and treats to be incorporated throughout the day on Friday to accommodate for grade level schedules.

Instead of inviting families back to the classroom after the parade we would like to welcome families to attend the East Side Elementary PTO’s Family Fall Harvest being held on Friday, November 13th from 6-7:30. The PTO is planning a fun filled family event to celebrate the season of fall. We look forward to sharing the evening with all! Please contact your child’s teacher for more details or questions.

Fall Harvest Festival Help Needed (Friday, November 13, 2015)

We always look for help with our PTO activities so if you can volunteer for our Fall Harvest Festival, please contact the school at 287-2260. We have an organizational meeting coming up on October 21st. (Please check out the flyer that went home with your child!) Let's get involved to help make East Side a great family school!
