Contemporary Art Field Trip
We will be visiting both the Dushanbe Tea House & The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art
The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse is considered one of Boulder’s most attractive and popular tourist attractions,completely built by hand without the use of any power tools, the Teahouse was constructed in Dushanbe, Tajikistan as a gift to their sister city, Boulder. It was disassembled, crated up, and sent halfway around the world to be rebuilt in Boulder as a symbol of friendship and cultural exploration.
The Boulder Museum of Contempary Art is presenting to us the "Evolving Visions of Land and Landscapes" Art Exhibit Tour and hands on Workshop" It is presented as part of Celebration! A History of the Visual Arts in Boulder. We will revisit and explore the city’s lively visual art past, beginning in the late 19th century and continuing all the way to the present.
At school Students will be studying works from Goldsworthy, Christo,and Chihuly.

The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse & Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art Field Trip
- School will start and end at its normal time: 8:00 am - 2:30 pm.
- A BVSD bus will deliver us and bring us back to school at the listed start and end times.
- Students will need to be sure to bring a packed nut free lunch this day.

Parents who want to come and have completed a BVSD volunteer application may ride on the bus with us. Parents who haven't completed the application are welcome to drive separately and join us at the Field trip location. Call 720-561-5522 and speak with Danielle for questions about the application.
