Sharing the Experience- School News and Happenings!

In an effort to reach more families and provide the richness of the learning experience that is captured in photographs and videos we are introducing this media format. Please call the school (978) 249-2405 or send Principal Ellis an email at if you would like to offer your feedback or suggestions on our Smore newsletter.

Welcome back from spring vacation! Do you have news to share?

Vacations provide a break in the daily routine and hopefully some added time with our loved ones. Vacation experiences often stay with us in our childhood memories. Some of our families had opportunities to travel, visit relatives, play spring sports, and/or visit local parks and recreation areas. Do you have a memory from vacation that you want to share with our Pleasant Street School community? If so, send it to Principal Ellis and include a picture if you can and we can include it in future editions of our weekly newsletter.

Our preschool is filled with so much learning each day!

Children have a natural curiosity and a love of learning! Preschoolers love to count, color, paint, explore, and learn about the world around them. We provide a thematic range of structured learning center activities and free choice options to allow children to use their imaginations and build their developing academic and social skills to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.

Second Grade students enjoy math and science!

Students have been busy doing experiments and learning about dinosaurs as part of a unit of study that will culminate with our upcoming trip to the Beneski Museum of Natural History at Amherst College. In addition, they have been learning to use the scientific method, make hypotheses, critical observations, and record their thinking. Students have also been learning how to use different types of graphs to represent mathematical thinking.
