Language Arts & Math
Much of this week was spent assessing skills for report cards and learning how to complete a diagnostic assessment on IXL that gives information for each individual student's skill level and things they can be working on next. This particular assessment will be very helpful in differentiating what each student can and should be working on throughout the year!
Life Cycle of an Apple Tree
On Friday, we learned about the life cycle of an apple tree in preparation for our exciting field trip to Country Apple Orchard in Harrisburg, SD on Monday! We created a little flip book on the process and enjoyed learning about the different parts of the tree and apple itself.
Thanks to our Hendricks Fire Department for stopping in to talk about fire safety with us! (and no, I did not get one picture where every student was looking at the same time haha)
Thank you to EVERYONE for meeting with me for conferences. Your time is very appreciated!
