Junior Testing--On Tuesday, April 30th and Thursday, May 2nd our JUNIORS will take the Science Assessment (Tuesday) and the On Demand Writing (Thursday). This testing will utilize all computer labs/most chromebook carts for 1st/2nd and the beginning part of 3rd block. Please check your email for a schedule for junior testing soon.
AP Testing--AP Testing begins May 6th and runs through May 17th, though testing for SWHS ends on Thursday, May 16th. These tests could be either in the morning or the afternoon. Remind students if they are taking an afternoon test that they will need to arrange for a way home besides the bus. AP Testing includes students at all grade levels.
Career Fair on Thursday, April 25th during 3rd Block for ALL Students
The Career Fair will be an excellent opportunity for students to interact and network with businesses and business people in our community, particularly for those students who know Pulaski County will be their home after high school. Many good careers, both local and in the Lake Cumberland area, will be represented, as well as businesses that are looking to hire interested students upon graduation.
All teachers are asked to accompany their students to visit the career booths immediately following their assigned lunch period. Those with last lunch will take their students to the gym at the beginning of the period to allow students time to visit with the fair vendors.
Awards Day
Awards Day for 12th-Thursday, May 2nd starting at 8:30 in the auditorium and followed by College Signing Day in the gymnasium.
Award Certificates and letters for parent notification are available in the administration hallway outside the Counselor’s Office. After you have filled out the Certificates, please give them to Shaun for Ms. Ellis’ signature. The Guidance office is asking that each teacher limit the number of certificates to one per prep in order to manage the length of the ceremony and make each award more meaningful for students. Email guidance if you have any questions or concerns.
