Hawk Squawk Newsletter 6/8/23
Principal's Message
Dear Hallinan Families,
It's really the final countdown - this year flew by! And while I am sad to see the year end, I am excited for everyone's next chapter. Your children are amazing, thank you for sharing them with us! They bring us joy with their smiles, curiosity and determination. We love seeing them explore, learn and grow. We are grateful for you and your partnership every day.
We know some of you will not be returning to Hallinan next fall and we wish you all the best, and hope you will remember your time at Hallinan with fondness.
To everyone returning to Hallinan in September, you'll receive periodic newsletters over the summer with important information and dates. Expect the next newsletter toward the beginning of July.
And, that's a wrap - happy summer! Stay safe, explore every chance you get and make sure to read every day!

Action Items

- It's time again to verify your information in our system. Please make sure your contact and your emergency contact information is accurate should we need to reach you. Log into ParentVUE and review/update your students' information through the Register/Verify tab. If you have forgotten your ParentVUE password, go to the login page, click "I am a Parent," then click "Forgot Password." If you are unsure whether you have a ParentVUE account, contact your student's school. For assistance with the verification process, refer to the user guide on the LOSD website or contact the office.
Lost and Found is Overflowing
The end of the year is fast approaching and Lost and Found is once again full of jackets, sweaters and sweatshirts. Please stop by to see if we've found something your child has lost. All items still here on 6/13 will be donated to a worthy cause.

Hello Hallinan Families!
Slice of Gratitude
Carnival was a tremendous success! Thank you to all the parents who volunteered for carnival set up, activites, and tear down! We also want to acknowledge some very generous donations toward the outdoor refresh project that the fourth graders proposed. If you would like to donate directly to the mural project, there is still time, please reach out to hallinanpresident@gmail.com
We had over 2,000 views on our art auction website. This new online auction endeavor was managed by Hallinan parent Mirav Bareiss. Without her help, our art auction would not have been possible.
Art Auction Volunteers- Thank you!
Thank you to the parents who worked with the teachers & kids to create priceless art! If you see these parents around, please tell them thank you. Leading this project gave kids an opportunity to participate in group art, helped Hallinan raise funds, and gave auction winners the chance to own a precious keepsake:

Summer Socials Meet & Greets Sign-Ups:
Please stay tuned for the summer social sign-ups. A few parents from each grade will have a chance to host with popsicles (paid for by the PTO) at the Hallinan playground over the summer.
Chair Positions:
And please stay tuned for next year's chair sign-ups. If you have not volunteered before, there are lots of people to help guide you in your new position. This is the best way to strengthen your Hallinan community!
