"Nothing gold can stay" -Frost
JP Elkin
theme
I think the theme of the poem "nothing gold can stay" by Robert frost explains from spring to fall how a leaf can change so much in such a little time.I think Robert frost is trying to say only good things last for a little amount of time. I think he is saying while things are good savor them while you have the chance. I think this poem means that life is only for a while so enjoy every second you have to live it.
gold
"natures first green is gold" I think this symbolizes everything is good at first
flower
this symbolizes when the flower is fully grown kind of like a life how its all grown up
leaf
the leaf is dying because everything cant last forever
Metaphorical Comparison
the main metaphorical comparison is between natures first green and gold. the next 1 is the natures green turns into a flower so like in life something is growing up. The leaf starts to die and become old and withered just like how and old something's life would do. finally the leaf is dead and this compares to the life is over in something.
