Raising funds for Brittany Harrison's Lyme Disease Treatment
Come support a strong young woman determined to reclaim her health!
Four years ago, Brittany Harrison was a freshman honor student at Ponderosa High School in Shingle Springs, CA, and a dancer in the pre-professional program at Northern California Dance Conservatory in Roseville, CA, when she became ill and eventually bedridden. She was diagnosed with Lyme disease, but multiple specialists were unable to help her and she continued to decline. In January 2013, Brittany found a new doctor in Santa Rosa, CA, who has been able to help her. In August 2013, she felt a brief but dramatic reduction in her pain for the first time in 3 1/2 years. Although temporary, that relief has given Brittany renewed hope that she will indeed get well! Brittany and her mom, Katherine, moved to the Santa Rosa area in December 2013, in order for Brittany to have access to more consistent care. Further treatments have resulted in a reduction of her constant Migraine headache pain level to 6/10, a lessening of her nausea that has enabled her to eat more and regain some weight, and an increase in enough strength that she can now walk for several consecutive steps! Most of Brittany's treatment is not covered by insurance. Please join with us as we raise the necessary funds so that Brittany can regain her health, resume her education, and dance again!
