Quentin "Q" Jacobsen and his neighbor Margo Roth Spiegelman, both young children, go to the park and find the dead body of Robert Joyner, a divorced man who has committed suicide. Then the book flashes forward to Quentin and Margo as high schoolers who have grown apart. One night Margo shows up at Quentin’s bedroom window. She's dressed like a ninja, with her face covered in black face paint and wearing black clothes. She convinces him to follow her and help her get revenge on people she feels have hurt her. After getting back at people the wanted revenge on Margo and Quentin return to their homes about the time they were supposed to be get up for school. The next day at school all Quentin thinks about is how things have changed between him and Margo. Margo doesn’t show up to school that day. She has been missing for three days her parents file a report to the police. Margo has run away in the past so her parents are more mad than worried. After finding out that Margo has run away, He starts to notice clues he believes she left for him. He keeps searching for clues trying to find out where she might have gone.

Reasons to read this book?

This book has great detail and really kept me reading, the book went from past to present text which i think made it more interesting. A lot happens in this book and you realize by the end of the book some little details were maybe more important than you thought they were. It makes you pay attention to everything happening in the book. I really recommend this book to other people.
