From the SWAMP - Well we finished our first full week at LA and what a great week it was! The students and staff look so happy to be back into the swing of things and we are sure this will continue as we grow our Gator culture once again! The Terry Fox Run was a huge success as we raised over $1000 and also raised a ton of school spirit! So great to be back!
Morning Arrival - Just a reminder that our school start time is 8:20, with morning announcements beginning shortly after. It’s really important that our students are in class on time in order to help create a positive start to their day.
Pizza Friday - Next Friday, September 24 we will be selling Nitza’s Pizza 8” pizzas for $6.00. They will arrive individually packaged and handed in a COVID safe fashion. Students can choose between cheese, pepperoni or ham and pineapple. If you are interested please have your child bring cash to their homeroom teacher on Wednesday.
School Clubs - A variety of school clubs are slowly being introduced in our school following COVID safety protocols during the lunch hours. Presently, we have outside intramurals organized by Mrs. Kennedy, Gator Catch-up with Ms. Jennings and Fitness with Mr. Baba.
Student Fridge - Just do you’re aware, we have a mini fridge in the office for students that need an extra nutritious snack during the day. It’s being funded by our nutrition grant so it’s free for students.
Concession - We are planning to open our concession on Tuesday of next week. It will include cup-a-soup, a variety of snacks and drinks with prices ranging from $0.50-$2.00.
Gator Clubs - We are looking to use the bulletin board outside the office to post all of the clubs happening at L.A. “Gator Club Hub” will be a centrally located place for everyone to know the what, where, when and who about clubs.
Gator Gear - IS HERE! Orders are being made and students are showing their pride! IF you would like to order, please do! Please visit our website and follow the link. Orders will be processed here in the school and the turnaround time is really quick!

ATTENDANCE & SIGN IN/ SIGN OUT
If a student needs to leave early, the office MUST hear from a parent. Please email or call the office and we will allow the student to sign out & meet you outside (or walk home).
If a student will be arrive late, they are to sign in at the office, and will be given a late slip. If we have been informed the student will be late, that will be an excused late. Without hearing from a parent, the student would be marked as unexcused.
If you have any questions, please ask the office.
