Advice: Dear Peyton and Alex
I would like advice on… making money and getting better at sports?
Well to make money you just need to do some research on what jobs with take 7th or 8th graders. Then you need to be responsible and stick with that job and work hard for the money you earn. OR you can do chores in your house and get an allowance but you still have to work hard and do a full way job not a halfway job! And then to get better at sports all you have to do is practice. Practice makes perfect. Also you can join clubs to get better at the sport of your choosing.
I would like advice on… how to be more responsible so my parents will give me more freedom outside the house?
Responsibility is really easy, just do what your parents tell you to do and don’t go sneaking behind their back. If they tell you no, that it’s a no! Especially don’t go sneaking around doing stuff you KNOW your parents wouldn't approve. That will show your parents that you respect them and respect their wishes.
I would like advice on… how to be a better reader?
- There really is no specific way to be a better reader. Usually, people who are good at reading usually read a lot of books so they’re used to reading books and it’s not a problem to read aloud in class. Try reading a book every 1-2 weeks. That way, you’ll be so used to reading books, you’ll become a better reader.
I would like advice on… how to make it into college?
College is far away so I wouldn’t try to worry about it so much right now. But, if you want to make it into college, you have to have good grades. College is really expensive so if you have good grades, colleges will offer you scholarships. But, like I said earlier, college is a ways away so I wouldn’t stress about it much until college time gets closer.

Recipe of the Week:
18 jumbo pasta shells 1 1/2 pounds ground beef 2 tablespoons chopped onion 1 (12 ounce) can tomato paste 1 (14 ounce) can tomato sauce 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 2 eggs 3 cups cottage cheese 1 (16 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese, divided 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 2 tablespoons dried parsley 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper Preheat an oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Fill a large pot with lightly-salted water and bring to a rolling boil; stir in the shell pasta and return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta has nearly cooked through but still very firm to the bite, about 5 minutes. Drain well and rinse with cold water. While the shells are cooking, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat; cook and stir the beef and onion in the hot skillet until the beef is crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink. Drain and discard any excess grease; stir in the tomato paste, tomato sauce, salt, oregano, and garlic powder. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes. Spread half of the sauce into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Beat the eggs in a mixing bowl. Stir in the cottage cheese, 3/4 of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper. Spoon the cheese mixture into the shells and set them into the prepared baking dish. Once all the shells have been filled, pour the remaining meat sauce over the shells and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake in the preheated oven until the shells are hot in the center and the mozzarella cheese is melted and bubbly, 25 to 30 minutes.

News Story:
Christina Reitz is a woman whose windchime was stolen. Soon after it was stolen, she received this letter...
For those who can’t read this letter, it says: “I am sorry that we stole your windchime. Our mom died and I liked butterflies so my sister took it took put in my window. I am sorry this is the only money I have. Please don’t be mad at me.-Jake” She was so overwhelmed by this letter that she decided to find this boy and get him his own windchime. She posted the letter on Facebook and asked if anyone knew the boy. Finally, his aunt came forward and told Reitz about him. The family is still grieving so they prefer to be anonymous, but soon Reitz will be paying the family a visit and delivering the windchime.
