FACTS
*The National Industrial Recovery Act was enacted by Congress in June of 1933.
*It was one way that FDR sought to assist the nation's economic recovery during the Great Depression.
*The NIRA suspended anti-trusts laws and set codes of fair competition. Also, business, labor, and government cooperated to set prices, hours and wages. In other words, the government had a lot of control in cooperations.
*The National Recovery Administration ran the NIRA.

Individuals who were associated with the NIRA and NRA were given a blue eagle to wear upon their chest.
