News You Can Use
Picking your child up after school?
We kindly ask that parents do not park in the main lot. Doing so creates a safety hazard for students as they attempt to navigate both bus and car traffic. You may pick your child up on the east side of the building nearest the construction.
Morning Student Drop-off Procedures
When dropping off your child in the morning please have your student exit the vehicle upon your arrival and line up at the appropriate grade level entrance. We want to make sure traffic is not backing up onto Dundee Road. Please also remember that we do not have staff available for supervision prior to 8:40. As the weather changes, we will be allowing students into the building earlier if conditions require us to do so. As always, thank you for partnering with us.
Staying after school for an activity? Read on!
Students wishing to stay after school to attend extracurricular events must remain in the building. Those attending games must go to the LMC until game time. Students are not allowed to leave Prairie and then return to school for the game.
Thank-a-Teacher Tributes
The PTO would love to provide our teachers with hand-written notes of thanks from our Prairie families. These can be written from parents and/or students. Our goal is to have LOTS of letters to post in the teacher’s lounge. Please drop your sealed letters (addressed to the PTO) in the box on the bench outside the main entrance at Prairie no later than Monday, December 6th. If you have questions please email prairieptopresident@gmail.com.

Any students interested in participating in the Speech Tournament this year please join Mrs. Ortiz on Zoom, Tuesday, Dec.14th at 4:00PM. The link is: https://bit.ly/315qR7B (Passcode: 933336).

Please note:
- A positive case is counted on the day it is reported. Every day after, it is placed in the quarantine category.
- Quarantine cases are total students and staff not attending school due to testing positive or exposure to a positive case.
- Positive cases for students are only counted for those who have been in the building for any reason (academic, athletics, clubs, etc.).
