June 7, 2015
I plan to send out the teams for 2015-16 tomorrow morning. Please take a close look and let me know if you see any errors or have any questions.
Hiring Update: I met with two very strong instrumental music finalists, who the interview committee forwarded to me on Friday and have begun to check their references so that I can make a recommendation by the end of the week. We also have two special education positions to interview for and the posting is up at the end of the week. Finally, we are interviewing for a .2 strings teacher to accommodate an ever growing orchestra program.
Final Concert: The weather may be a challenge, but the final concert of the year hopes to be outside tomorrow! Come and enjoy great music and visit the food trucks for a bite to eat! The music starts at 6:30. We may be in the gym, but either way, come support the bands!
Closure Party: Be sure to let Mike Maloy know if you can help Saturday night from 6:30 to 10:00 PM and please stop by to wish our 8th grade class all the best!
Year-End Trips: June 24th - all grades! Thanks for helping to chaperone these events!
Monroe County Special Olympics!
Thanks to Kathleen and Ella for coaching and Catherine for helping out, too! What a great event for our kids at Greece Arcadia on Friday!
Brighton Believes 5K
TCMS was well represented with 11 runners and 5 Brighton Believes Outstanding Character Award winners including staff: Kathleen Ostar & Dave Luce; and students: Timmy Mower, Bizzy Merz and Sam O'Connor!
Julie Whipple invited parent Andrew Jordan to talk to her Life Science 6 class Friday about physics as related to the human circulatory system. What a great way to get kids excited about learning!
