Superhero Headquarters

It's that time!

I can't believe that 4th quarter is already upon us. I guess time really does fly when we're having fun! As I stand in front of our 10-year-olds and think back to the first few days of school I am beyond proud of how much they have learned and grown academically. I am very please to share that 100% of our ELA (reading) class scored proficient or advanced on our most recent 4Sight benchmark test. We all celebrated that! Now students are fueled with confidence and determination as they prepare for PSSA testing to begin next week.

Testing can be a stressful time for students. I will do my best to provide a relaxed and positive environment every day. I'll even get the day started with a healthy snack and time to chill out. We'll incorporate movement and academic activities that allow them to review concepts without added pressure once testing ends each day. I won't be assigning any homework either! (I can hear the kiddos celebrating already!)

What can you do to support your students? Make sure they get a good night's sleep and a healthy breakfast to start the day. Talk to them about any concerns they have and assure your student that their best is good enough. I know they are going to make me proud!

Want to help your kiddo feel extra confident on test day? Send them a little love! Print out and complete the letter in the link above. Send it into school in an envelope with their name on it and I'll surprise them with it on a day when I think they need an extra boost.
