Defenders - Defining Excellence Everyday
December 4, 2022
Notes from our Principal
Hello Driscoll community,
There are only two weeks left of this first semester. It is critical that all work is completed and turned in to ensure grades earned for the semester are the strongest they can be. Parents/guardians and students are encouraged to check Skyward and reach out to teachers for any questions on assignments they may have. Let's finish the semester strong and be sure your academic work is completed.
The Driscoll Staff is engaging in 12 days of holiday fun before the winter break. Below are some details for the fun this coming week. We encourage the students to join us for some holiday attire days as well. See the graphic below for more information. Be sure to support our Driscoll PTA this week with a spirit night at Panda Express on Wednesday, December 7. The specific details are listed below.
Our Winter Dance will be held on Friday, December 9, from 4 - 6pm. Student tickets for the dance can be purchased using the online link included below until December 8. The dance is only open to Driscoll students who are in good standing behaviorally. No Tickets will be sold at the door. More details for the dance included below.
There are several other reminders and some new details to assist you with preparing for this next week. Please review the many details included below. If you have specific questions, please reach out so we can assist with those items. Please continue to stay safe.

Driscoll WINTER DANCE - Friday, December 9
The Winter Dance is this Friday, December 9!
Purchase your student’s ticket through the School Cash link in this announcement! You will either need to register for a School Cash account, or add your student to your existing account in order for the event to show. Tickets are $6 and are non-refundable.
Online ticket sales are live, but will close on Thursday, December 8. Tickets will not be sold at the door or in person. Wristbands for purchased tickets will be distributed to your student during lunch. Please get your student’s ticket before ticket sales close! https://neisd.schoolcashonline.com/
Concessions such as hot chocolate, drinks, snacks, and other fun items will be sold in the MPR during the dance by our different student groups! Your student will need cash to purchase any of those fun items!
Only Driscoll students in grades 6-8 are welcome. The dance will run from after school and end promptly at 6pm. Families of students in attendance will be responsible for arranging their own transportation as soon as the dance is over. Please note that in order to attend the dance, behavior expectations will be enforced. Students should not receive ISS from November 16 until the dance, and students should not have been placed in AMS during this school year in order to be eligible to attend. The school’s dress code will also be enforced.
We are looking forward to this fun and memorable event!
