Red Ribbon Week

This week is Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention awareness program. For thirty-five years, schools have designated October 23-31 to have targeted, specific conversations with students of every grade level about the dangers of substance use. Students will be participating in Spirit Week as part of Red Ribbon Week.

Monday: Pride in my Health Day (Wear Red, White, and Blue)

Tuesday: From Head to Toe, We are Drug Free and Healthy (Crazy Hair and Sock Day)

Wednesday: Our Future is Bright (Wear College Gear or Career Clothes)

Thursday: Don't Let Drugs Turn You Inside Out (Wear Clothes Inside Out)

Friday: Cool Cats Make Healthy Choices (Wear Cool Cat Colors)

Attention K-3 Parents/Guardians

Our reading assessments this year are through DIBELS. DIBELS stands for Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills. You will see your child's Beginning of Year assessment results on the Home Connect letter you have already received, or will receive with your child's report card. Strategies for how to help at home are included. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions about your child's assessment results. Students will be tested again at the middle of the year and at the end of the year. Thank you for your partnership in #GrowingMinds together!

COVID Reminders

  • Please contact the school nurse or the health department if you have any questions about COVID. Please do not make decisions regarding COVID without speaking to a healthcare professional.
  • All students, staff, and visitors are required to wear a mask while inside at school. This is for the safety of all and to limit the number of quarantines due to exposures. Students can take their masks off inside to eat and can play outside at recess or PE without their masks.
