Celebrating Kids Getting Baptized
Last Sunday we got to see 2 of our KidSpring kids take a next step in baptism! They both have been attending KidSpring since they were babies in Wonder Way. Every single time someone asks me what my favorite thing about what we get to do is, my answer is this. This is it! We get to see kids grow up in our ministry!! As we get to see life milestones like first steps, first words, first friend groups and so much more, we also get to see spiritual milestones. Kids learning how to pray, how to worship, growing in their understanding of who God is, meeting Him, and growing in their friendship with Him! We literally get to see their lives change because of who Jesus is!
We also get to see families grow and support parents as spiritual leaders in their kids' lives. I love that in both of these situations we got to celebrate dad's baptizing their daughters. We're seeing spiritual legacy passed down from one generation to the next, and you get to play a role in that!
"One generation will declare your works to the next and will proclaim your mighty acts."
-Psalm 145:4
This past Sunday we also launched Room Closing Policy. Our heart is that we want to serve all kids so that they can get Jesus on their level, but at the same time we're going to do everything we can to make sure that they're safe and that means ratios being upheld. This helps you as volunteers to be successful in not having more kids to care for than you really can. Leaders did an incredible job on Sunday as they made calls to make this happen, and our check in team volunteers were champions as they had conversations with families with so much love and clarity around how we keep kids safe! We did end up sending some families to our family viewing area or to the gathering in the auditorium on Sunday.
The Lord reminded me this week that He is still sovereign over that too, and that each of these families got to experience kids getting baptized with their own families. I have no doubt that the Lord is using that for the families that got to experience it. I've experienced time & time again how He takes circumstances and uses whatever they are to draw us closer to Himself.
"Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails."
-Proverbs 19:21
