The Five Pillars of Islam

Shahadah
Islam can believe in no God, but their God and Muhammad. They believe that Muhammad is the messenger of God.
Salah
To pray five times a day. They have to pray at dawn, mid-day, late-afternoon, sunset and nightfall. Although they are praying and the best way is in a mosque, they could do it anywhere.
Sawm
To not drink, eat, or have sexual relations with their spouse, during the month of Ramadan. The ones that have an exceptions are the elderly, sick, and children.
Zakah
To give your money to people who are less wealthier then you. The word zakah means both "purification" and "growth." Doing no evil and doing good is also an act of charity.
Hajj
To do a piligimage to Makkah. These rituals can only be done in the twelfth month of the Islamic year. To do this tradition the Muslim have to go around Ka'bah seven times. Then they have to go between the hills of Safa and Marwa.
