Cell Phones at Lunch
1. Phones only out in the cafeteria during their assigned lunch time. Phones can't be out prior to entering the cafeteria or as they leave to return to class.
2. Phones must be used on the table and not below to help adults that monitor during this time.
Sound must be off in order not to bother other students around them that may not be using phones.
3. This is a privileged that can be taken away if the cafeteria doesn't get cleaned as a result on being on phones. Also if we begin to see or hear of inappropriate usage, such as calling your friend in a class, this privilege will be removed and we will go back not using cell phones during lunch.
4. If phones are out in the hallway before or after lunch time, we will use the current policy in the handbook for taking up phones.
5. Pictures and videos cannot be taken during this time. This includes taking pictures to post on any social media.
6. Remember to put your phone down at times and enjoy the people around you.

7th Grade Schedule Request
UIL Sign-ups
Dear Parents:
This is the time of year where we begin recruiting students who would like to enter the UIL Contest. UIL stands for University Interscholastic League, an organization that governs all athletic and academic contests in the state of Texas. UIL academic programs are designed to support basic curriculum and allow the students to apply what they learn in the classroom. Students do this by selecting a contest to enter, spend practicing the concepts under the direction of a coach (occasionally before or after school), and then compete at the district-wide contest on February 21-22. Please see the attached brochure for more information on specific events.
