Learning Star Day
The school council is organising a ‘come as your favourite learning star’ day. This will be tomorrow Friday 4th May 2018 Students are invited to come dressed as their favourite learning star or stars on this day. There will be a prize for the best dressed student in each year level. There will also be a colouring in competition the students can participate in.

TERM TWO LUNCH ORDERS
From the start of Term 2, orders must be made AT THE START OF EACH TERM. This terms order must be placed by Tuesday 8th May.
No late or ring in orders will be accepted after the date above.
A new form needs to be completed for each child in your family. However, one family payment can be made.

We have been super busy in Room 4 with our bees throughout Term 1. We managed to extract 62kgs of honey that we want to share with you! It is now for sale!

Uhlenbegh Hulage Ltd - Donation
A big thank you to Uhlenbegrs who delivered 6.3m of sand recently for our long jump pits and sandpit. They have donated both the product and delivery costs.

A big thanks you Danny and Kelly who donated the use of their small digger to assist with a few tidy up and enviro projects in Term1.

FROM THE SPORTS DESK
Basketball - Year 7 & 8
Just a reminder that this starts on Friday night. A draw has been sent home and so has a team singlet. The first three weeks are grading games. Goodluck to both teams.
JONES CUP COACHES REQUIRED
Jones Cup is a rural cluster event for Year 5- 8. At this event schools compete in rugby and netball only. These are mixed ability teams and it is an opportunity for those that don't play in these codes to participate. Jones Cup will be held on Monday 25th June, 1st postponement date 28th June, 2nd postponement date 29th of June and final postponement date 2nd July.
Practises will begin in Week 5 on Friday 1st June from 2.15-3pm.
These will run every Friday until Jones Cup.
We are looking for coaches for netball and rugby, if you are able to commit to all practices and being available on the day of the competition please email rebecca.jury@toko.school.nz
