PSAT Information

Counselors visited Junior US History classes to assist students with accessing their PSAT scores and setting up their Khan Academy account.

For any Sophomores and any Junior that was absent from the presentation, PSAT scores are available at If they have an account they can log in. If they don’t have a college board account they would create an account.

All students have access to Khan Academy with their PSAT scores. Khan Academy offers free tutoring for students to practice in order to prepare for the SAT. Students can set up an account at

2020-2021 Borah High School Registration Information

Borah's school wide registration process for the 2020-21 school year kicked off on January 13th, with our Career Counselor visiting English 10 and 11 classes. Counselors will be discussing graduation requirements, handing out course planning forms and registration newsletters beginning January 29th. During the first week in February, teachers will set aside individual class time to discuss course planning and give input on student's course selections for next year. Students will register on infinite campus on February 13th and 14th with counselors. Please visit the Borah website for more information regarding registration.

Career Center News

Boise Schools Foundation Scholarships now OPEN

Students may now start applying for the Boise Schools Foundation Scholarships using this LINK. There are five different scholarships open to Borah students only. Deadlines vary but start March 1st.

Idaho College Scholarships due soon! (click for link)

BSU General Scholarship deadline = Feb. 15th

Idaho State University Scholarship deadline = Feb 15th

Lewis Clark State College Scholarship deadline = March 1st

College of Western Idaho (CWI) Scholarship deadline = March 31st

Junior Higher Ed Day is Feb 12th

Every year, Juniors in the Boise School District get to participate in an event called Higher Ed Day. This event is designed to help students learn about the community colleges, colleges, and universities in Idaho. Representative from 11 Idaho Colleges will come to Borah and spend the afternoon sharing information with our Junior students. If you want to learn more about Idaho colleges, please visit


Borah’s graduation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at ExtraMile Arena. The date was approved by the Boise School District Board of Trustees in December and the Board has confirmed that the date will not be changed. Many alternative options were considered and rejected for a variety of reasons.

Second, we assure you that every effort will be made to respect the traditions and excellence expected at our Graduation ceremonies, including student musical performances.

Borah Pridecast

The Borah Pridecast is the only podcast in the Boise School District. It is devoted to the students, faculty, and community of Borah High School. The Pridecast is in its 4th year of production and is available wherever you get your podcasts and on YouTube. Search “Borah Pridecast.” All current and archived episodes are available here:

Borah Food Drive Stats

Our recent food drive collected 1,379 pounds of food & hygiene products. We provided over 1,150 meals to families in need. Way to go Borah!

Spring Sport Athletes

Spring sports practices/tryouts are fast approaching! Make sure you are ready. You need to have a current physical exam on file and have completed the online paperwork BEFORE the first day of practices begin! Do you have creative ideas or just like to design… anything? Pre-Engineering AND Design Course Sequence:

First: Introduction to Engineering and Design (IED) Course Code (TE1502) (10-12) (3 Concurrent College Credits available)

Then either:

  • Principles of Engineering (POE) Course Code: (TE1501) (TE1502 & 11, 12)
  • Civil and Architectural Engineering (CEA) Course Code: (TE1520) (TE1502 & 11, 12)
  • Engineering Design and Development (EDD) Course Code: (TE1525) (TE1502 & 11, 12)

Library News

Seniors have been in selecting non-fiction books that they may use as a basis for their upcoming research papers. We have done database search lessons with sophomore English classes. The Borah Pridecast just dropped episode #21, our first episode completely produced by students! Our podcast studio is in the library AV closet. We are preparing for a workshop with a BSU/NPR team Jan. 23rd and then a visit from Jad Abumrad (Radiolab) Feb.1st. courtesy of The Cabin Literary Center. All students are invited to attend, please register in the Library for the events. Poetry Out Loud (advised by Ms. Olsson) participants will practice their performances at a lunch show in the Library Friday Jan. 31st. Never dull here, January is flying by!
