Pfaff Empowering Parents ~ Monthly Newsletter
AT HOME SPECIAL EDITION #2
Message From the Principal: Dr. Orathia Bradley
Good afternoon, Pfaff Families,
We have are at the beginning of our QCSD Continuity Plan, and I'm hearing great things! Thank you so much for your support. Everyone is dealing with a lot right now, and we are grateful for your partnership during this difficult time. Many thanks to you, the teachers, administration, and students for making the best our of this difficult situation!!!
Don't forget that next week, we will observe Spring Break according to the school calendar! So, students will not have school on Thursday (4/9), Friday (4/10), or Monday (4/13).
I've got great news for Pfaff families who have fallen upon hard times financially during this crisis. Pfaff was just approved to be a site for food distribution (breakfast and lunch) for those that qualify for free and reduced lunch or who are facing financial hardship and need it! Starting this Monday, April 6th, Pfaff will have food distribution at the front of the school from 11-1 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. All that is needed to pick up the meals is your child's Student ID#. We are flexible and understanding if someone other than the parent has to pick up the food and the student does not have to be present to get the meal. While there is a limited supply, families are encouraged to utilize this resource as we have advocated for a Pfaff distribution location for the convenience of not having to go across town to the High School. We do ask that you please abide by the social distancing guidelines by staying at least 6 feet away from others while waiting in line to pick up your food. More information will be coming out soon from Gary Weckselblatt. Also, please note that since students have spring break next week, meals will be available on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (instead of Friday 4/10) in observance of Spring Break for next week only. Finally, because you will be picking up meals for more than one day, please be sure to bring a bag or box to carry the food.
I am closing this message with the links that I included in P.E.P. RALLY Edition #1 below because they are important. However, I wanted to take a moment to share some other resources with you that may be beneficial for you at home as you navigate this difficult time.
