"No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law."

Summary Of The 3rd Amendment
3rd Amendment Summary: Soldiers can't be forced to be housed and fed at someone house in the time of peace or war, but can be housed and fed with the consent of the owner.

What the 3rd Amendment protects/guarentees:
The 3rd Amendment protects you from not having to quarter soldiers in your house. This means you aren't forced to house or feed soldiers.

The 3rd Amendment Protects You By: Not worrying that you must feed the soldiers that have been forced to live with you.
