On March 9, Dryden won 60-43 over Mayville. "It was a nice win on the road. Mayville is a tough place to play. We had to keep our composure," said Coach DelCampo. Merrick Maris scored 16 points; Jack Kaplan 15; Nate Schenkel 14; Josh Schornak 10; Jacob Burgess 3; and Dylan Ledford 2. DelCampo added, "We had balanced scoring. It's always good to have a good team game."
Dryden beat the International Academy of Flint on March 10, 67-54. DelCampo reflected, "This is the type of game that gets us ready for some big league games coming up as well as districts." Jack Kaplan scored 31 points; Merrick Maris and Nate Schenkel 11; Josh Schornak 10; Jacob Burgess and Harry Atkinson 2.
In a league matchup on March 12, Dryden was victorious over Kingston, 49-41. "Our kids really kept their composure. Kingston went on a run and took the lead in the third quarter but we came back. We really played great team defense tonight. That was the difference," said Coach DelCampo. Jack Kaplan scored 21 points; Josh Schornak 11; Nate Schenkel 7; Merrick Maris 5; Jacob Burgess 3; and Harry Atkinson 2. "That was a great high school basketball game," he reported.
