World Read Aloud Day: Friday, February 1 is World Read Aloud Day! Send us a picture of your family reading something together through Remind or Email!
Picture Day: Wednesday, February 6. Must pre-order (packets went home Monday/Tuesday!)
Hat Day: $1. Every Friday until Relay For Life: April 5.

- Informative Writing: Have your child be practice typing! Also, give them a topic to write about and help them build their stamina by practicing coming up with plenty of supporting details that stay on the topic you give them.

**State Writing Test (as well as all other subjects) is online this year! Please be helping your child build his/her digital stamina by having them type various things on a computer. Contact your child's teacher for creative ideas to help with this!**

This week the students that need to do a re-take on a test or CFA will have the opportunity to do so. Also, I will be sending home 3 assignments that will need a parent signature. Please return these papers ASAP so I can record them. If the paper is a redo , have your child redo it before they return it. All redo's are due by Friday, February 1st
**We will be doing a stem project in class Thursday and Friday of this week. If you have any Popsicle sticks that you would like to donate that would be greatly appreciated.

Tips to Stay Engaged and Active in your Child's Educational Journey:
- State Writing Test is online this year! Help your child by having them type various things on the computer to build their digital stamina. Contact your teachers for ways to do this best!
- Read WITH your child! See picture below about how to help them become a better reader.
- Ask them to tell you what kind of questions they asked in class that day.
- Ask them to give you 3 highs and 3 lows about their day - every day!
- Ask them who their friends are and what was one topic of conversation they had with those friends that day.
- Ask them to teach you one thing they learned from each class.
- Communicate frequently and openly with the teachers - we WANT to hear from you about the good and the bad! We are all on the same team!
- Remind them that you are PROUD of them and love seeing them grow each day.
