April 19-22 (Field Trip information included)

Hello,

Family Fun Night and Book Fair

April 28th

Book Fair: 5:30-7:30

Family Fun Night: 6:00-7:00

Grades: K-4

Your child brought a flyer home with all of the fun details.

Because of MCA testing we will have the same story for next two weeks. We will however have a spelling test with new words each week.

There will be no school on Friday, April 15 or Monday, April 18.

We have our MCA testing coming up beginning next week. We will have a kickoff breakfast on Wednesday, April 20. Breakfast will be at 8:40 after we have a bit of Zumba fun. Your child can certainly eat breakfast at home or early that morning at school as well. MCA tests begin the next day. Our first MCA test will be reading.

Field Trip information:

Until we hear differently, the International Owl Center is requiring masks for everyone. If this changes we will let you know. Thank you

Remember that if you are wanting to chaperone field trips this year, you will need a current background check on file with the school.

Chaperones will need to pay at the venues. Fees will be paid upon arrival.

Mystery Cave: $5 - Forestville: $6 total $11

Owl Center has a flat fee and limit to the number of people that can attend.

Quarry Hill: $10.

We are also requesting that chaperones provide their own transportation to each destination.

Students are required to ride the bus to the venue. If parents want to take their child afterwards, they need to have permission from the school's administration. Please email Superintendent Besel: Pbesel@gm.k12.mn.us

Students will need to bring a lunch and a drink . Snacks will be allowed on the bus.

Forestville/Mystery Cave: This is a rain or shine event. Please check the weather. It is cold in the cave, please send warm jackets and also nonslip shoes (athletic shoes with good soles.)

Permission slips for all field trips will be sent home next week.
