Topics We're Talking About

We continue our color activities with green this week. We will learn facts about a frog's life cycle and learn a song about frogs. We will get lots of practice using scissors as we cut pieces to make a frog hat and a spiral snake. At our science center we will drop yellow and blue vinegar into baking soda and observe what happens. In math we are copying and extending patterns with a variety of different objects.
This week we will focus on being friendly. We will talk about what it looks like and sounds like when people are friendly.

Since Friday is Hawaiian Spirit Day, let's wear green on Thursday and Hawaiian clothes on Friday. Student Council will be by on Friday to count how many friends are wearing Hawaiian clothes and we will earn spirit points!

Dinosaur School

Dina Dinosaur comes to visit from time to time. This week we are learning about doing our best in school by being a good listener. We will watch videos with examples of good and not so good listeners. We will meet a friend of Dina's and she will model how to wait and listen. On our Schoolloop page you will find a file of the Dinosaur School Rules in the class locker.

Our Carnival is this Friday!

Do you know a high school student in need of community service hours?

If so, I am still looking for someone to run our Balloon Pop! booth, 5:30-7:00. I will sign off hours at the end of the carnival. I also need volunteers to blow up balloons on Thursday afternoon. I have a pump, so it won't take quite as long!
The PTA is also looking for volunteers for various other booths and activities. Please see the Sign-up Genius if you are able to help.
