What's New in C2
February 16-19
Next Week
Math: Measurement plays a big part of second grade math, and we'll start by learning the many, varied tools with which we may measure. From there, learners will use nonstandard units (cubes, paper clips, popsicle sticks) to practice foundational concepts of measurement. Then, we'll use our foundational knowledge and apply it to standard measurement (inches, feet, centimeters, and meters). Finally, learners will analyze measurements by making comparisons.
Projects: Learners are making progress on their project work! We are planning to host a "C2 Showcase" in March to share our hard work with YOU! Stay tuned for more information about that event.

Parent Volunteer Opporunity: Lunch Bunch
Our C2 lead learners would love your help! Please consider volunteering for a lunch shift for your child's class. It’s a great way to see your children during the school day, meet his or her friends, and help lead learners all at the same time. Plus, children love seeing their parents and grandparents help out with their class in the lunchroom, and younger siblings are always welcome to come with you during your volunteer slot. General duties include walking your child's class to the lunchroom, assisting them in line, and sitting with them at the lunch table. After lunch, you will remind them to pick up their trash and clean up their area, line them up, and walk them back to the classroom. Click the link below to find a time slot for your child's class that works for you!
