SSMS Weekly Update

JANUARY 14, 2021

Dear SSMS Families,

Monday is the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. DSISD will be closed and classes will resume on Tuesday January 18th. If your child is absent for illness, please remember to communicate with our attendance clerk so that we can ensure the absence is documented properly. You can email our attendance clerk, Tracy Clay at ssmsattendance@dsisdtx.us. Please remember that class lessons are loaded on Canvas and students are able to access these 24/7, 365. If your child is home to due illness or quarantine, and they feel well enough, please encourage them to keep up with school. Thank you to all of our students, staff, and parents for your resiliency and for making the most of out of challenging times. Stay warm, get some rest this weekend, and enjoy the extra day.

Purchasing Tickets for Sporting Events

This is just a reminder, that all sporting event tickets are sold ONLINE ONLY, no cash sales. There are a few ways to purchase tickets.

You can download the FREE app "Hometown Fan" onto your mobile device. This app allows you to find your school and specific game and purchase the tickets through the app. The app will then store your tickets for you. When you are ready to use the tickets, go to your app and pull them up. You can also screenshot the ticket and send it to your student to use.

Another great option is to purchase an athletic pass! You can purchase these (adult $50 and student $25) through our district webstore. The pass will allow you entrance to all home games for any sport, MS and HS, except for Varsity Football games. Adults will pick up their pass in the athletic office at Tiger Stadium and your student will take their student ID to their front office to have a specific pass sticker placed on the back.

Again, this is just a reminder that our district has gone to ONLINE TICKETS ONLY. Thank you for all of your support for Tiger Athletics!
