https://zoom.us/j/113578788Together we have navigated our first week of remote learning. Last week, I had the opportunity to stop in to many of the classroom community meetings. I was amazed at the spontaneity and the resilience that students demonstrated. It was so uplifting to witness.
These community meetings that have begun to take place are critical. They will help to reestablish routines that students depend on during these tumultuous times. Additionally,
reconnecting with classmates and teachers reinforces a sense of safety and stability.
As parents and guardians, you have now taken on the role of facilitators. As educators, we are depending on you so that we can reach all of our students and provide them with the reinforcement, application, and extension of skills - the goal being that of preventing regression.
As we head into the next week of remote learning, we will continue to provide guidance and support. The administrative team anchored by Dr. Galdston, Dr. McGuinness, and Mrs. Desmarais meets daily to plan and refine remote learning for our students. My faculty and I continue to work with lists in order to ensure that students have access.
In an effort to support parents in guiding their children with access to Zoom Meetings and Google Classroom, Rashmi Pimprikar (District Coordinator Digital Learning/Library and Computer Science) and and Kate Phillipson (ESL Cooordinator) are offering a workshop on how to use Zoom, and, if time allows, Google Classroom. Each one will be in English with interpretation in Spanish or Portuguese. Parents can just click on the link to join:
Parent Meeting - Spanish 3/31 5 pm
Parent Meeting - Portuguese 4/1 5 pm .
If you have trouble joining, you may call Kate Phillipson at: 617-581-8200 for support.
Linked you will also find a newsletter submitted by Mr. Tempesta.

I am looking forward to my continued virtual visits to community meetings in each of the grade levels. The in-person experiences that define each school day within the Cunniff community are greatly missed and I cherish the memories that I hold. Please tell you children that Ms. Ciarlone misses them and says "Hello".
I am grateful for your continued partnership.
With warmest regards,
Mena
