Blue Hills News
From the Desk of the Principal - September 16, 2021
Dear Blue Hills Families,
This week's newsletter will be short! Reminders from past newsletters are below. If you haven't taken care of registration, completed the ESSER III survey, or made a decision on the vaccination clinic, we would ask that you do that today.
- The vaccination clinic hosted at Blue Hills will take place tomorrow, September 17. Parental consent is required; forms must be returned to Ms. Gainey to participate.
- Athletic schedules are posted here. Please keep in mind that changes happen frequently; each week an updated schedule will be posted on the website.
- Next Thursday, September 23, 2021, is a late start for students. Students will arrive at 10:40 a.m. (instead of 7:40 a.m.) and buses run on a three hour delay schedule.
Sincerely,
Mr. Zini
**Reminders**
We need your help!
As part of the ESSER III grant from the federal government, we are required to seek stakeholder input on how we plan to safelty return to school and spend the grant funds over the next several years. The link to the survey is below (or click here). Please take a few minutes to complete this survey so that we can best plan for these additional funds. Thank you!
Important: If you have not yet completed the mandatory registrations on FamilyID, please do so as soon as possible!
Vaccine Clinic: If you would like your child to participate in the covid vaccination clinic being held here on Friday, September 17, please see below and return the consent form to Ms. Gainey ASAP in the Nurse's office.
Buses: Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we get bus routes adjusted and bus capacities sorted out. As you know, there are issues across the state with bus driver shortages. We are working with our vendor, First Student, to make sure the transportation needs of our students are met. If a bus misses your stop or does not come, please let the school know so that we can follow up with the bus company. Please also be aware that bus stops and routes may change in the next several weeks if we need to add buses. We will send out any changes to those impacted. Thank you, again, for your patience with this.
Back to School - from DESE: Please take a look at the Commissioner of Education's "Back to School" site for statewide information.
