Showing Cougar Kindness Pride
Highlights of Oster's Kind Acts During Great Kindness Challenge Week
Last week we celebrated National Kindness Week. Here are some of the wonderful things our students did to spread kindness throughout the school.
Tk and Kinder classes made a friendship chain with their big buddies classes and received a kindness badge at the end week for showing kindness in many ways to their classmates.
First Grade students made kindness posters and kindness cards for residents at Belmont Senior Village. Students also wrote kindness notes to teachers and students of their choice.
Second through fifth grade classes wrote Thank You posters to Staff members and students were asked to perform Acts of Kindness Daily from their daily checklist. Students also left kind compliments for their peers on the playground blacktop using chalk and made a kindness flower to share with the school.
Way to go Oster Cougars!
Oster's Student Council Needs Socks!
Did you know that socks are the number one requested item in Homeless Shelters? Join the Oster staff and student council by donating to our sock drive. The Sock Drive will run Feb. 5th through March 1st.
We are asking Oster students/families to please donate a pair of new socks (child or adult) to your child's classroom. Your support will help people receive immediate support through the Sacred Heart Community.
Thank you for partnering with the Oster School to build better lives in our community! Go Cougars!

4th and 5th grade family volunteers needed for Frozen Friday
A favorite Oster Tradition, Frozen Friday, happens each week! Stop by after school on Fridays outside the cafeteria to purchase a frozen treat and hang with friends! All treats are $1 or $2. Small bills are appreciated or we can take ApplePay! OR, purchase a Frozen Friday Card here.
Did you know that starting with this new year, Frozen Friday is a Science Camp fundraiser (goal is to raise $6,000 each year, a BIG help to our 5th grade families). We are looking to you, 4th and 5th grade parents and guardians to volunteer - sign up here! Volunteering to help with Frozen Friday is a great opportunity to get involved with HSC and only takes an hour or so on Friday afternoon! And, if your 5th grader wants to help sell, they are welcome to fill a volunteer slot. Again, please sign up TODAY.
We are also looking for a new lead for this year and next. Again, all money raised goes to reduce the cost of Science Camp to our 5th grade families. If you are interested, please email: covphsc@osterhsc.org.Walk-a-Thon, Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities!
Oster's HSC offers sponsorship opportunities for select local businesses and organizations to support enrichment programs at Oster through our Walk-A-Thon. Generous community sponsors can donate, and in exchange, receive visibility to the Oster community and this spring! We invite you to support Oster by supporting our Annual Walk-a-Thon.

Community School Facilities Survey
Following the valuable feedback received from USD employees in the Fall concerning facilities project priorities, we are now seeking input from the broader community. We invite you to take a few minutes to complete this survey. Your perspectives will play a significant role in assisting USD in prioritizing areas that require improvement and guiding us in the creation of new spaces or enhancements that will best serve the needs of our students and community. Thank you for your continued support.
