Thanks for a great week of STAAR Testing. Your ability to ensure that students are engaged and learning during testing is appreciated.


This week we will continue our focus of aligned lessons, Lesson Objectives and DOL's. Continue to progress monitor students. The ACP tests are coming up.


This week during STEM we will focus our time on ACP blueprints and ensuring that we are on target for the ACP, please bring your technology to the meeting, along with your curriculum maps, lesson plans and resources you think you might need. We will also begin distribution of Student Profiles to create classes for next school year.


Our Faculty meeting this week will be an extension of the ACP Blueprint planning. We will meet in the Media Center. Please be on time and come prepared.


We only have 5 more Monday's of the school year. Let's work hard and finish STRONG!!!

5th GRADE STAAR READING SCORES

5th Grade STAAR Reading Scores are in!!! 52% of our 5th grade students pass the first administration of the STAAR Test that is great improvement from last year's scores! I am proud of the work done by our 5th grade teachers Mrs. Hutchins, Ms. Valencia and Mrs. Wright!!! You are well on your way to meeting your goal for the year!!!!

  • Start Time for Teachers: 7:45 am
  • Start Time for Support Staff: 7:15 am
  • Students should be inside classrooms at 7:55 am
  • Instruction begins at 8:10 am
  • Lesson Plans are due on Fridays on the google drive for review, please ensure they are there.
  • Lesson Plans should be posted by 8 am on the first instructional day of the week.
  • We are adhering to the morning and afternoon duty schedule and posts
  • Students should have something to read or review in the hallways while waiting in line to use the restroom

SUPERINTENDENT'S SCHOLARSHIP 5K

Have your registered for the Superintendents Scholarship Run? Each year Dallas ISD fundraises for the Superintendent's Scholarship Fund. This year Dallas ISD Superintendent’s Scholarship Run will benefit the Superintendent’s Scholarship Fund! The run, scheduled for May 16, 2015 will feature a certified 5K course and one-mile fun run/walk. This is the inaugural year for the run, which replaces the district’s golf tournament previously held to raise funds for scholarships. Register today!
