There are many traditions here in the D.R. Families uniting on Noche Buena. Cooking their famous Sancocho. Giving there angelitos ( the D.R's way of saying secret santa). Here we also decorate our trees with El Nacimiento.
How the people of Dominican Republic Celebrate!
Dominicans start to celebrate Christmas in the beginning of December and end the celebration on January 6, with the arrival of the three kings.

- Adults and children light off fireworks the night before Christmas.
- At the families reunions they sing christmas songs.
- The church gets filled on Noche Buena (Christmas Eve) with people to celebrate El Nacimiento. (A Christmas story from the bible.)
