Santos Livas Elementary

6th Annual Christmas Ornament Exchange

In this activity the students brought an ornament to exchange with there fellow classmates. Students would either move the ornament to the right or to the left throughout the reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas by Clement Clarke Moore. After the reading the ornament would leave the library with a new owner that would in turn take it back home to place on their Christmas tree.

The Lion's Store is Open for Business

Students from 1st-5th grade had the opportunity to use their AR points to purchase items from the Lion's Store. Students were so excited to get to buy items depending on how many points they acquired for the first semester.

Santa Claus Drops by Santos Livas Elementary for Storytime

Santa and Elf Mary flew down on his sleigh from the North Pole to read his favorite book, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas by Clement Clarke Moore. In a random drawing three students received the first gift of Christmas from Santa. Students were able to take a group picture and a candy cane by Santa and Elf Mary. The staff as well enjoyed taking picture with Santa.

Yay! I Was Caught Reading!

The following students enjoy reading a lot. They read after they finish their work or at lunch. They filled out their, "I got caught reading ticket." Drawings are held every Monday. and they select a free book from my treasure trunk.

3rd Six Weeks Science & Social Studies Winners

The following students in grades 1st-5th grade are the lucky winners of the Science & Social Studies drawing. This is held once the six weeks is over. Students fill in their information on a ticket. They earn this ticket by reading a Social Studies or Science book and scoring an 80% or higher. Then after they've been selected per grade level, they select their prize. Congratulations!
