A Message from the Principals
Dear Parents and Guardians of the Class of 2034,
We are so excited to welcome our newest students to our school. We are working hard to plan for the upcoming year to ensure your child can have the best year possible in kindergarten. Information about two important parts of that process- kindergarten screening and kindergarten orientation- is below.
If you are new to Millbridge, we invite you to take a look at our website to learn more about the school. Every two weeks, the main office will send out a newsletter, The Cub Corner, to keep you informed about all of the current events and happenings. You will receive a link to the newsletter by email and you can also find the prior editions on our website.
We hope to see all of our new students for screening and can’t wait to welcome everyone to kindergarten this year.
Please do not hesitate to contact our office if you have questions.
Educationally yours,
Mrs. Lowe and Mrs. Murphy

Kindergarten Screening
When we began registering incoming students, the public health emergency prevented us from conducting kindergarten round up in the manner we have in previous years. We are excited to share that due to the current guidelines and health metrics, we will be able to invite in our incoming kindergarten students to allow them to participate in the screening process. The information that is obtained helps us to match students to the teachers and allows us to ensure students receive all the services they are entitled to from the first day of school. We believe this screening is extremely important and highly encourage everyone to participate. We have a number of appointments available on August 9th and almost our entire kindergarten team will be on hand to conduct the assessments.
If your child attended preschool at Millbridge last year, please do not sign up for a slot. Your child’s preschool teacher has already shared information about your child and we have placed those students.
In the event that all of the slots on August 9th are filled, we will be opening slots for the morning of August 10th. If that occurs, you will receive a separate email with a link to sign up for those dates.
We ask that only one parent or guardian accompany the students for screening. Everyone entering the building will have their temperature checked and will need to wear a mask. The screening will be done in the Millbridge cafeteria.
Orientation
We are planning on holding an in-person kindergarten orientation. In order to allow us to maintain social distance and implement all of the health mitigation protocols, we will hold two sessions on September 7th. Only one parent or guardian per child will be permitted to attend with their child. You will be notified about which session your child will attend.
