Message from Principal Perkins
Good afternoon Trix Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day and had the opportunity to shower our awesome mothers with gifts, flowers, cards and most of all hugs and kisses.
I want to take a moment to shout out Ms. Hayes, Ms. Smith, Ms. Williams and Officer Fred for putting on such a beautiful Mother-Son Dance on Friday. Everyone looked amazing and had a great time. These moments are special and I am happy we were able to get our First Annual Mother-Son Dance in the books. I am looking forward to the Father-Daughter Dance on May 26th.
This week begins our NWEA Spring Testing Season. This assessment is very important for our scholars and for our school. This is key data used to determine how much scholars have grown over this school year. We use this data to look at trends, determine programs and initiatives for the fall. This set of data helps in determining next steps and school wide goals moving forward as we work together to make key decisions in moving our school from GOOD to GREAT! Our goal is to always show growth and improvement as a school and to ensure our scholars have the best educational opportunities possible. Please take this time to encourage scholars to take their time and to do their absolute best.
Lastly, I want to also take this time to say thank you for always showing your support for our scholars and staff. Watching our staff receive all of their teacher appreciation gifts for parents and scholars brought a tear to my eye. Our staff work so hard everyday to give our scholars their best as educators and as humble servants to education. Thank you for seeing them as the humans they are and for loving them the way they deserve.
We look forward to seeing you at conferences this week. Please use the links below to reserve your time!
Ms. Perkins
LET'S MAKE IT AN AMAZING WEEK!!
