Attention Seniors Who Plan to Enlist in the U.S. Armed Forces or Attend a Distinguished Military Service Academy:
If you plan to serve our country by enlisting in the U.S. Armed Forces or attend a distinguished military service academy, there will be a few opportunities for our school and state to celebrate and honor YOU! Please complete the following TWO forms, one for the state and one for our school, so YOU can be honored for your decision to protect our freedom by serving in the armed forces.
1. If you have not done so already, please complete the MILITARY HONOR CORDS SURVEY so you will be able to receive your military honor cord for graduation and be honored through the Virtual Senior Celebration. We ask that each student to complete the form by Wednesday, April 28th, to ensure that you receive your military honor cord in time for graduation.
2. The South Carolina Department of Education will be holding their annual statewide Military Honor Cord Ceremony for those high school seniors who have chosen to enlist in the U.S. Armed Forces or attend a distinguished military service academy. As part of their annual statewide recognition, The SC Department of Education is asking for students to submit names, photos, and the enlisted branch of service through this form, https://bit.ly/3dhZDwo, as part of an online recognition ceremony that will be aired on May 27, 2021. We ask that each student submit this information by May 10, 2021.
