CFES Trail Guide for Parents
Blazing the trail to excellence
Week of October 26
Happy Tuesday CFES Families! It was great to kick off our second quarter of the school year yesterday. Creekside Forest currently has 69% of our students attending Face to Face Instruction daily on campus and 31% of our students engaging through CFES Tomball Virtual School for the second quarter. I would like to thank each of our families for the continued support, flexibility and encouragement as the staff and I continue to navigate through everchanging waters. The teachers, staff and students continue to work hard daily and do great things! As you know, this is Red Ribbon Week in most school districts in the state. The focus is on teaching students about the impact of making healthy choices. Please review Mrs. Parson's information and opportunities below and encourage your child to participate in some way. At CFES we remind students daily to always be the best version of themselves. Our halls, walls and devices are filled with student learning each and every daily. Thank you for sharing your incredible children with us and for being a partner in their education. With so many things being different in our current world, we are working to ensure all students learn at high levels and are taken care of socially and emotionally. Together the Creekside Forest Community can accomplish things others think aren't possible!
Have a great week and as always, reach out if you need us!
Sincerely,
Sherri Trammell
CFES Camp Director

Reminder/Updates
Parents of 3rd - 5th Grade Students: The Texas Bluebonnet Award was established in 1979 to motivate students in grades 3 through 5 to read outstanding children’s literature. A committee of teachers and librarians choose the 20 books to be included on the Bluebonnet list each year. 2020 is the 40th anniversary of the program! These books encompass multiple genres and diverse topics and themes. CFES encourages students to read Bluebonnets with an incentive program conducted through the library:

Red Ribbon Week is October 26th - 30th
October 26th-30th, we are celebrating Red Ribbon Week! The mission is to support families and communities in nurturing healthy, drug free youth. Call to Greatness will give everyone an opportunity to celebrate themselves and each other and how they are making healthy choices and not being a bully. Parents, please feel free to upload videos into this folder of your child talking about or showing how they make these healthy choices and being a buddy, not a bully. We will add these videos to Call to Greatness to highlight our wonderful cougars! These pintables are a great template for your child to write or draw how they are happy campers who make good and healthy choices. Feel free to send them into their teachers to upload on our Red Ribbon Week wall! This flyer and this video have all of the directions.
