You are about to embark on a research journey where you will be learning all about a specific Texas Native American tribe. Using a variety of resources (both online and print), you will explore the ways the Native Americans met their needs and wants and the way the tribe governed themselves. You will be required to find this information, put it into your own words, and cite your sources on the document provided to you. Make efficient use of your time, work with your group, and most of all have fun exploring these important people!

- Karankawa
- Lipan Apache

To access any of the databases listed above, go to MackinVia.
- Choose School: Anderson Elementary, Plano, TX
- Type in your username: your 6 digit student ID # (i.e. 123456)
- Type in your password: your 8 digit birthdate (01052006)
- Click login
- Find the database you would like to search for information on and click Open Now.
Websites to Explore
There are some good websites with accurate information on the web. It is okay sometimes to use Google to look up something you want to know about on the web, but for this research project you will not be using Google to search!
