- If your phone and email is not current please contact the Mustang Trails office with corrected information. 405-324-0016
If you have not heard who your child's teacher is by 8:00am, August 16th please contact our school office.
*Open House will be held Tuesday, August 16th at the following times based on last names:

Important: Parents will need to pick up their child’s packet from their teacher during open house. It will include:
1) dismissal tags that all families need even if students are not car riders. Tags will be used for Bronco Club or in case your child needs to be a car rider, etc. Every family will be given a tag.
2) FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL sticker. Since parents are not allowed into school the first day, this sticker will help staff get each child safely to their classroom. This sticker will have the student’s name, grade, teacher, and how they are going home the first day of school.
3) school forms and information.
4) Backpack tags for dismissal information.
Information on bus routes, before/after school care, and lunch accounts, PTSO memberships and school shirts will be available during open house.
Trails student apparel (spirit wear) will be available for purchase during Open House at the PTSO table in the gym.
Thursday AUGUST 18th-FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
*The first day of school for the 2022-23 school year is August 18th. School begins at 7:35 and is dismissed at 2:35.
Students will go straight to their classrooms on the first day of school or they may go to the cafeteria for a grab and go breakfast that they may take to their classroom.
To keep our students safe we will continue with students only entering the building on the first day of school. Family goodbyes will need to be done in the car. Student drop off only.
Car riders will be dropped off in the car line on the west side of Trails. Enter from Czech Hall Road. No cars are allowed in the front drive of Trails. This lane is for buses and daycare only.
Make sure your child is wearing their 1st DAY OF SCHOOL STICKER. Please visit with your child several times before the first day of school. Encourage them, listen to their concerns and make sure they know we will get them safely to their teachers and their new classrooms. Practice the route to the classroom during open house night. Show your child landmarks in the building. Many of our students are returning to Trails, so they will be familiar with the building.
All staff members will be on duty to help students find their new classroom and greet students with a warm welcome.
Students will need to wear their “first day of school sticker” that will be picked up at Open House. This will help staff direct students to their classroom.

Thank you for being patient with us through arrival and dismissal as we start this new year! Your cooperation with our procedures increases efficiency and keeps kids safe.
- If you need to change the way your child is going home, please call the office (405- 324-0016) by 2:00 p.m. to give office staff time to get messages to the teachers. If someone other than a parent or guardian is picking up a student, they must be on the pick-up list or the parent/guardian must call the Office. Please do not email or message teachers with transportation changes, the OFFICE will notify the teacher.
The first week of school is a transitional time for all. It takes about a week to get our dismissal procedures to run smoothly. Traffic around Trails is difficult during this first week. Please be patient with us. Buses will most likely run about 30 minutes later than usual. Our car rider line could take up to 30 minutes longer during the first week when kids and parents are still learning safe dismissal procedures. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Our goal is to always get all students home safely.
